The Captain’s Lunch - The Jade-S Crab Sandwich

Ingredients:

•1 Jade-S picked crab tub

•Lettuce (cos or iceberg)

•Mayonnaise

•Tartare sauce

•Salt & pepper

•1 Lemon

•Spring onion (optional)

•Bread (we love it with French stick or Portuguese rolls)

*Makes 2 super filled crab sandwiches or if using less crab per serving 4.

Instructions:

  1. Put the Jade-S picked crab meat into a bowl. Add the mayonnaise to your taste (we usually do at least two decent desert spoons). Add a 1.5 to 2 tsp of tartare sauce (taste as you go!). Add the juice of one lemon freshly squeezed. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. If using – finely chop a small amount of spring onion (approx. 1.5 onions) and sprinkle it into the mixture (as much or little as you like, although we usually just use a hint of spring onion). 

  3. Butter your bread. Layer the base with lettuce and spoon on the crab mixture. Cover the top of the crab mixture with lettuce again (‘sandwiching in’ the crab meat mix) this stops the bread from going soggy.
