How to Store & Cook Lobsters
How to cook your lobster:
Put your lobster to sleep by placing in the freezer for 30 mins. If the lobster is still active after this time, put back in the freezer for a little while longer.
Fill a large cooking pot ¾ full of water and add 12 tablespoons of sea salt for each gallon (3.8 litres) of water.
Bring the saltwater to the boil and add your lobster(s) to the pot, they should be fully submerged in the water.
Boil your lobster(s) for 8 mins per 1lb (0.45kg)of lobster. Keep the lid on the pot and stir half-way through cooking time.
Cooked lobster should be bright red once done.
Take lobster out of the pot and let stand for 3-5 mins before serving.
